The first episode of my show on WBAR Radio, which paints a “portrait” of an artist in a different genre every week. The first show focused on The Doors, and featured everything from demos, samples, covers by and of The Doors, and the artists they’ve influenced and been influenced by.

The Jazz Crates (Black History Month)

Inspired by Black History Month, I was tasked by Radio Silence Records to curate a jazz playlist to celebrate the Black artists who created and shaped jazz music. The playlist is made in chronological order to tell the story of how jazz has grown and developed over the decades, from its early years to the artists of today.

 

Black Cowboy Trail Songs

A personal project of mine inspired by Walter Thompson Hernandez’s book The Compton Cowboys. This playlist explores the meaning of the Black cowboy in America historically and in mythology, and the Black cowboy’s significance in Black identity today.
